Fitness Franchise with a Good Business Model

HOTWORX congratulates franchisees, John and Ernie Pennington, who were awarded a franchise license in the Charleston-Huntington market and recently opened their Charleston, WV (Southridge) studio!

What originally motivated you to consider a business opportunity?
My father and I have been involved in multiple business opportunities separately in the past, but we were looking for something we could do together.

What led you to explore franchising rather than an independent business?
My father and I both have time constraints and were looking for a Franchise with a Turn-Key process or system so we could own/operate while keeping our day jobs.

What was your initial impression of your first HOTWORX session?
Excellent studio, HOT, and harder than I thought it would be.

How was your experience going through the HOTWORX Discovery Process?
Excellent and fun! We learned a lot. The only thing that I did not like was that the Franchise Agreement was non-negotiable. I assumed the agreement was a negotiation, but there was ZERO flexibility and that was a concern.

How would you describe your Orientation Day and meeting the HOTWORX Executive Team?
Fun, memorable, and informative. You could really tell that the Executive Team was more like a family environment and it was fun to join the team.

What advice would you give to other entrepreneurs considering the opportunity to franchise with HOTWORX?
If you are looking for a franchise that has everything already in place, then HOTWORX is excellent. If you are wanting to do a lot of things your own way, then look at different franchises.

What are the top 3 reasons you chose to franchise with HOTWORX?
1. The Franchise system and processes are well put together and easy to follow

What excites you the most in offering HOTWORX to your community?
The ability to build a community where people can get in better shape and improve themselves

3. Build a clean, friendly environment
4. 200 Members in Pre-Sale
5. 500 Members
