Andrea Hightower, an employee of the original HOTWORX studio in Oxford, MS, and her mother Minnie, the very first HOTWORX studio member, spearheaded a donation drive to support those affected by Hurricane Harvey. The dynamic duo was confident that the Oxford community and HOTWORX team could be relied upon during this time of need. An overwhelming amount of items were collected at several donation sites in Oxford that included cleaning supplies, baby items, clothing, towels, toiletries, and much more. Four 26ft U-Haul trucks were loaded up the afternoon of August 31st with Andrea and Minnie on the road by 4:00am on Friday, September 1st.[embed]https://www.facebook.com/minnie.hightower/videos/10213458224393066/[/embed]In a joint effort with the Hightowers, employees of the HOTWORX World Headquarters simultaneously rallied family and friends in the greater New Orleans area to show their support. Andrea and Minnie made a pit stop on their way to Dickinson, TX to pick up additional donation items at our corporate office in Marrero, LA. Jessica Matherne, VP of Performance and Education for HOTWORX Franchising, expressed her gratitude to everyone involved with this Facebook post:

After an emotional 16 hours on the road, Andrea and Minnie Hightower arrived at their final destination and were welcomed with open arms by those gathered at Dickinson High School. We are incredibly proud to have these two women as part of our HOTWORX family.
