Leveraging the Proven Success

HOTWORX congratulates franchisees, Josh & Chrissy Hoffman, who were awarded 3 franchise licenses in the Harrisburg-Lancaster-Lebanon-York market and recently opened their Ephrata, PA studio!

What originally motivated you to consider a business opportunity?
We have talked about owning a business for years. We are both accountants (CPAs) by background and have been in senior leadership roles in the business world. We both knew that we would eventually use the experience and skills we have collected working in the corporate world in a venture of our very own.

What led you to explore franchising rather than an independent business?
While we feel like we have a good foundation of business knowledge and experience leading teams as well as building and executing on strategic plans, the statistics on successful startups are just not that great. So, for us, leveraging the proven success of an existing franchise and surrounding ourselves with a team of like-minded people from day one was the best way to bypass the failure-rate statistic and set ourselves up to win.

What was your initial impression of your first HOTWORX session?
HOTWORX is new to our area and we had to travel an hour and a half to visit the closet studio. It was so worth it! We were already in the Discovery Process with HOTWORX and our initial impression from that first session affirmed everything we hoped that it would and confirmed our decision to pursue the franchise opportunity. We had been craving another session since that first experience and couldn't wait to get back into a HOTWORX sauna.

How was your experience going through the HOTWORX Discovery Process?
Our Franchise Recruiter, Teresa, was awesome! She did a fantastic job of communicating her passion for the company while also being realistic about the expectations of HOTWORX franchisees. The Discovery Process itself was well thought out and each module built on the previous module, leaving us with enough information to continue our evaluation but also inspiring us to want to learn more.

How would you describe your Orientation Day and meeting the HOTWORX Executive Team?
Orientation Day was way beyond what we expected. It was obvious that the entire team is invested in the success of every franchisee. Otherwise, they simply would not have set aside the time. We took a ton of information away from Orientation Day, but it was also great just to get a glimpse into the HOTWORX culture.

What advice would you give to other candidates considering the opportunity to franchise with HOTWORX?
Do the work to learn as much as you can from the Discovery Process. And then, go for it! The HOTWORX team has incredible experience in both the health and wellness industry, and the franchising space. It is clear they have taken lessons learned from those years of experience and built them into their processes to give franchisees the best chance to succeed.

What are the top 3 reasons you chose to franchise with HOTWORX?
1. We believe in the health benefits of the HOTWORX Training Method.
2. We both love helping people and seeing them grow and achieve their goals.
3. We value the idea of saving others time through a more efficient and effective approach to fitness.

What excites you the most in offering HOTWORX to your community?
In many of the conversations we have had with friends and community connections already, we have found that many people are currently doing something that is 1 or 2 dimensional (working out and detoxing in a sauna afterwards, doing barre workouts in a heated space, etc.). However, much like the epiphany that sparked HOTWORX, they light up when we talk about 3D Training. Seeing their excitement and knowing they have not even experienced the actual workout yet, really excites us. People seem to be inherently looking for HOTWORX without even knowing what it is, and we are super excited to bring it to our community and see so many people benefit from it.

What goals do you plan to accomplish in your first year as a HOTWORX franchisee?
Our goals for the first year are simple and focused. We will have our initial location open with more than 1,000 members and be well on our way to opening our second location.

How will HOTWORX help you achieve your personal and professional goals?
We truly believe that HOTWORX will provide the opportunity to impact the lives of others and allow us to help people experience the benefits that come with saving time and living healthier lives. HOTWORX will also allow us to leverage the professional skills, abilities, and expertise we have developed throughout our careers for financial gain, but with a more meaningful purpose. We are excited to see the merging of our personal and professional goals into a single endeavor.
