Absolutely a No-Brainer

HOTWORX welcomes new franchisee, Rhonda Whitlock, who was awarded 1 franchise license in the Tulsa market and is currently in Presale at her Tulsa, OK (Jenks) studio!

What originally motivated you to consider a business opportunity?
My husband and I have owned Whitlock Cosmetic Center in Tulsa, a plastic surgery practice with full service medical spa, for the last 21 years and as a Plastic Surgeon and Registered Nurse Team, we felt it was time to expand our business portfolio. We have ventured out before in other businesses and felt passionate about the health and fitness industry so a fitness studio seemed like a great addition!

What led you to explore franchising rather than an independent business?
After reading the website entirely, I was intrigued enough with the franchise idea because it seemed seamless, organized, and precise. The franchisor had already invented the wheel so to speak, and that saves a lot of time in any business. Since we currently operate other independent businesses, HOTWORX appeared to already have the systems in place that would give the business the upper hand at a successful start, light years ahead of a mom/pop shop.

What was your initial impression of your first HOTWORX session?
I absolutely LOVED HOTWORX so much the very first session that I raced home as soon as I could to tell my husband all about it. My very first experience was the Hot Pilates session and I felt an inner warrior ignite in me! I was on fire with this newfound fitness journey so much that I went 71 days in a row without missing a session. We had a trip scheduled, and I actually looked up other locations so I didn’t break my streak. My husband knew then that I was absolutely hooked and there was no stopping this journey.

How was your experience going through the HOTWORX Discovery Process?
When I first called I was nervous as to what the process would be. I was pleasantly surprised to find a joyful, enthusiastic voice when Mandy Verges called me back. I have to be honest, she made my decision easy. Every week I looked forward to the calls so I could learn more about this fitness program that had created such a health nut in under a few weeks! Each week, she diligently took me through a new process in a very understanding and practicable way. I loved that! I loved her instantly and actually miss that voice every Wednesday. I feel like everyone on the team has such a passion for what they do and believe in!

How would you describe your Orientation Day and meeting the HOTWORX Executive Team?
It was a long day but I felt like I had prepared myself for it. I had asked my own studio several questions about what the day would be like but, since the pandemic, they had had a different experience In New Orleans. I was a little bummed because it was virtual and I love people so much (and New Orleans)! I was pleasantly surprised and felt a connection anyways through the zoom meeting, which I personally thought was an impossible feat! Haha. Great job Executive Team!

What advice would you give to other entrepreneurs considering the opportunity to franchise with HOTWORX?
GO FOR IT! I have the utmost confidence in this process and its mission.

What are the top 3 reasons you chose to franchise with HOTWORX?
1. I BELIEVE in the HOTWORX 3D Training wholeheartedly.
2. This business model is absolutely a no-brainer and I can just feel the fire under my feet...and the money hitting the retirement account.
3. The team. I felt an instant connection to everyone that I've encountered so far and that says a lot about the company. If they still like each other after years together in business, you know you have an amazing leader!

What excites you the most in offering HOTWORX to your community?
I can’t wait to share this passion of mine to the world. I have already called people in other countries that I know and told them they HAVE to bring this technology to their country because it's amazing! If HOTWORX can get ME excited about exercise and wake up that hidden warrior that resides inside us all, then it can for anyone!!

What goals do you plan to accomplish in your first year as a HOTWORX franchisee?
I plan to grow this business to the best of my ability as quickly as allowed and possible, and become the highest ranking HOTWORX! Move over Texas and Mississippi!

How will HOTWORX help you achieve your personal and professional goals?
Professionally, HOTWORX will become an extension of our medical practice. My husband and I believe wholeheartedly in the infrared heat and its healing and health benefits. That will, within itself, ensure better patient healing post surgery and allow our clients to maintain their bodies after investing thousands of dollars in themselves. In addition, as a community leader, I will use that to help other people achieve their fitness goals and unleash all that power within themselves.

Personally, as a mother of nine children - toddlers through almost 30 years of age - I will be able to keep up with them! As an older mom to young children, I believe my own health is a top priority in keeping my family functioning properly. I have learned that self care is a MUST if your goals are being a good wife, friend, mother, boss, or employee, etc. HOTWORX is getting me there. I feel 10 years younger and it’s only been 90 days!
