Get More From Your Workouts in Less Time

This past week I had the pleasure of attending our annual Franchise Success Cruise with co-workers and franchise owners. It was great to hang out with everyone, but there was no HOTWORX on the ship, so I had to resort to old school workout practices. On one day I went to the weight room first to train shoulders and then needed to do cardio, but since I hate the monotony of treadmills, I went to the top deck to run on the track. When I finished my run I then headed to the spa for a session in the convection heat sauna with a temperature of 180 degrees of hot air Fahrenheit. All of this took at least two hours out of my day. The old school way of working out wastes too much time. Time is our most valuable commodity. Why waste any of it? I was really beginning to miss my HOTWORX studio back home.

Training inside of an infrared sauna is a fitness game changer for time management. Take back an hour from your weekday and reduce your necessary gym time. Think of what you can accomplish with an extra 5 hours during your work week!

What about sweating? I noticed when I was running on the boat deck track that it took forever to break a sweat. Not so inside of the HOTWORX infrared sauna. As the infrared energy and heat immediately begins to penetrate the skin, a detoxifying sweat is rapidly induced from the infrared infused exercise. And, did you know that infrared sweating produces up to 7X more detox as opposed to that of traditionally heated saunas? As explained by Christiane Northrup, M.D., far-infrared light reaches deep into the body, where toxic substances are stored. Below is a quote from one of her recent articles online:

While most sweat is comprised of water and little salt, studies show that 15-20% of infrared sauna-induced sweat is composed of cholesterol, fat-soluble toxins, heavy metals, sulfuric acid, and ammonia (as well as sodium and uric acid.) In other words, an infrared sauna may enable your body to eliminate environmental toxins through sweat. (1)

Sweat matters, and for more than just cooling the body. Infrared sweating enhances the detox process!

When I am home I train with a very fast pace and get it all done in 45 minutes consisting of weights for 30 minutes immediately followed by a 15 minute HIIT session at HOTWORX inside of the infrared sauna at a much lower 125 degrees. Infrared heat is way more effective and can work at a much lower and more physically tolerable temperature when compared to “old school” convection heat saunas.

There are numerous benefits that come as a result of training inside of an infrared sauna from increased flexibility and better circulation to pain relief, and the list goes on and on. For me though, the greatest advantage is the conservation of time!
