Infrared for Lunch Anyone?

Are you looking for a better workout schedule?  Try 30 minutes of infrared isometrics three to four times per week with friends for lunch.  I can tell you that for myself and my two friends/colleagues, April and Shawna, we all swear by the lunchtime HOTWORX workouts.  There are some great advantages to this workout routine including:

Strength Gains

With a consistent weekly routine of hot isometrics you will achieve substantial gains in strength.  I have noticed marked strength improvements with my weight training as a result of my lunchtime HOTWORX routine.  April shared her story of substantial strength gains with Shawna and myself this week during one of our sessions.  She explained that she had begun doing her previous home workout in addition to the HOTWORX sessions and that she was much stronger with the old workout sets due to her lunchtime infrared routine with us.

Motivation

It has been proven scientifically that working out with others elevates your intensity.  I know this is true from experience with my lunchtime workout team!  Camaraderie definitely increases your motivation.

Reduce Stress, Increase Energy

Half way through the work day for a busy executive is a good time to practice stress management and to accelerate energy levels.  From the moment you walk into the HOTWORX sauna stress begins to go away, and when the workout begins your energy is mobilized both mentally and physically.  When you are finished with the workout, the fist bumps of workout success are made with your colleagues and then you go back to work with a new attitude for the rest of the day.

Workout Variety

With eight isometric workouts to choose from, a different HOTWORX lunchtime workout can be experienced each day.  It’s very effective to cross-train day to day from Hot ISO to Hot Yoga to Hot Pilates, Hot Buns, etc…  The variety helps to strengthen all your isometric workouts and for improvements to exercise that you might do outside of HOTWORX such as weight training, outdoor cycling, snow skiing and running.

Decrease Appetite

Our lunchtime infrared workouts usually begin at 11:30 which is perfect to help reduce your lunchtime appetite.  Some trainers call this a “fasted” approach to the workout, usually in reference to cardio, and it will be a workout while your body is in a fasted state if you eat an early, low calorie breakfast with no snacks before the lunchtime workout.  Fasted workouts can help you to burn more fat!  Keep your breakfast moderate and don’t eat again until after your lunchtime workout.

The infrared workout helps to reduce hunger and causes you to want less food for lunch.  I always experience this effect with a lunchtime workout.  According to David Stensel, Ph.
