You Get Out What You Put In

I am a meritocratist.

I believe in advancement through merit.  Merit is the only fair standard.  It is a quality that values individual ability and achievement.  Of course talent is important, but, as in sports, abilities can be improved to an incredible extent based on the heart of the athlete.  Merit calls for a strong work ethic and drive combined with high personal standards to establish a winning attitude.

You get out of life what you put in, period!

A good trainer can keep you motivated and show you how to improve skills, but in the end…

IT IS ALL UP TO YOU!

“Meritocratists believe in the individualist credo: If you have the abilities and work hard enough, you can compete with anyone to make your dreams come true. Meritocratists disapprove of programs that use race, culture, ethnicity, class, gender or any cultural identity dimensions as criteria for an opportunity, believing instead in personal merit.”¹

What is the success formula for a meritocratist?

“Hard work + Individual initiative + Self-sacrifice = Limitless opportunities in society”²

This is most certainly true in fitness.  What you put into your workout routine is without a doubt what you will receive in terms of results.  There are ways to accelerate your results and those “ways” are known as tools and methods such as an infrared workout sauna for added detox and calorie burn, and a workout system such as the HOTWORX 3D Training Method.

Remember this, in fitness, as in life, excuses get you nowhere.  Excuses are for complainers and low performers.  “I just don’t have the time” is the number one excuse in fitness.  What that really means is, “I am just not focused on achievement right now.”

MAKE THE TIME for what is important.  You CAN get it all in.  If time is an issue, then find a workout that gives you more results in less time.

Your health is the most valuable thing that you have.  Better health = better quality of life.  Put in the time for your fitness program and you will get out a longer, higher quality life and a better sense of self.

Is motivation the problem?  Upgrade your playlist and get rid of the negative people in your life!

Are you hanging out with negative people?  One of the biggest problems with productivity in America is negativity.  Don’t let yourself get drawn in to a group of negative complainers.  You know the old saying…”Be careful who you hang out with because you will soon become just like them.”

Hang out with winners!  Surround yourself with people who believe that you get out of life what you put in.  Don’t hang out with the “what can you do for me” crowd.  There’s no better feeling than to be with a winning team, and there is no worse feeling than to be with a losing team.

Losers find excuses not to achieve and winners just work hard and find solutions on their way to the top!

Music can help to motivate you to put more into your training.  When I train in the FX Zone at HOTWORX I usually have my headphones in and will listen to some very positive high energy tunes.

“You get what you put in, and people get what they deserve.”  Kid Rock

I recently went on a business road trip to Chicago and found myself without the availability of an infrared workout.  I stopped in at the Oxford studio for a quick HOT ISO workout and then it was nice to get back home to NOLA for more of what I needed… infrared workout acceleration at HOTWORX.

After only a few infrared sauna workouts I could tell an immediate difference in body and in the way I felt.  It is nice to have the option nowadays to get more out of my workouts in less time.

Stay motivated, avoid negative people and put in the effort.  Your merit is worth it!

You get out what you put in.
