Multiple Membership Trend

Multiple Membership Trend

There is a trend that has been developing in the fitness industry. People are willing to maintain more than one fitness club membership these days. Everywhere I go in my travels to visit new HOTWORX Studio locations, I hear from customers and from franchisees that everyone has multiple memberships to different gyms and fitness studios. Fitness customers are looking for specialty workouts now more than ever!

Form a Fitness Band

Form a Fitness Band

Like many people, I enjoy going to rock concerts. Good bands form to make good music, and like a great rock band does for music, you can form a “fitness band” to to make great workouts!

The Fitness Event

The Fitness Event

I’ve already written about the importance of setting up an event as a motivator for your fitness program. This topic is so important, though, I feel that it is worthy of a second blog post. In my years as an entrepreneur I have found that nothing, not even cash, motivates people more than a trip incentive for extraordinary productivity. For example, our franchise company is currently incentivized by a potential trip to Jamaica for top performers. We will see who will be on that Superstar Trip later this year!

Wake Up Call

Wake Up Call

Doesn’t it just seem logical to workout in the morning before your work day? There is no doubt that a great morning workout can elevate your day. Here are five good reasons to consider making morning the time for your daily exercise.

Choose Your Fitness Weapon

Choose Your Fitness Weapon

Nothing motivates people better than a good vacation goal. Yet, no matter the fitness program, there will always be those who perform at a higher level of effort, intensity and focus. If you ask those people why they work harder, they will most likely tell you that they are getting ready for something. That something is usually either a sports competition/event, a vacation, or a combination of the two. For the highest level of motivation I recommend a combination of the two!

BELIEVE, DO, ACHIEVE...REPEAT

BELIEVE, DO, ACHIEVE...REPEAT

The foundation of motivation is belief. There’s no argument against that. In fitness, to achieve your goals, then it certainly starts with a belief that you can. As a fitness professional, nothing is more upsetting than to listen to a person say they need to “think about it” before they begin a fitness program. What is there to think about? Choose to BELIEVE that you can, and begin that program today! Stop procrastinating.

Orange Lady

Orange Lady

I posted this story on Facebook two years ago, but I thought it might serve as a good blog post to helps us all remain motivated as we move into spring 2017: A couple of years ago I was in Vegas attending an amazing marketing conference at the Aria. I decided to stay over the weekend and go skiing to free my mind… Turns out there is a cool little spot to ski about 40 miles into the mountains away from the strip to the north.

Ready, Set, GOAL!

Ready, Set, GOAL!

After working non-stop, on the road across the Northwest part of the USA for the last 6 days, I went for some down time today. I happened to end my work trip in Salt Lake City, so I planned ahead to spend a few days on the ski slopes.I use snow skiing as a motivational tool when I work out. My ski trips are planned and then used as my physical GOAL!
